Welcome to the OPS web site!

We are the Oregon Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

We are a disparate group. Some of us care for children and youth in major cities, and still others in rural Oregon. Many of us answer our calling in the office or hospital, while some teach the next generation of pediatricians or work in government attending to children's public health needs. A few of us wear our country's uniform.

Yes, we are disparate, but we have much in common. We all care - deeply - about children and youth, and about making sure that they are as healthy as possible, and have the best possible care stystem to maintain their health and development. Because of our shared priorities, we come together within the Oregon Pediatric Society where, working together, we create a voice that is heard in the corridors of power. Our professional organization is at its best when it advocates on behalf of our patients.
